MAJOR SUCCESS UNDER ‘YUDH NASHIAN VIRUDH’: ANTF FEROZEPUR RECOVERS 50 KG 14 GM HEROIN; HABITUAL OFFENDER ARRESTED

In strict adherence to the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign launched by the Punjab Government &
DGP Punjab to eradicate the drug menace from the state, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF)
Ferozepur Range has achieved a massive breakthrough by recovering 50 Kg 14 Gm of Heroin and
arresting a notorious history-sheeter following a brief encounter.
Supervision & Leadership: This intelligence-based operation was conducted under the overall
supervision of Sh. Kuldip Singh IPS, Special DGP ANTF, and Sh. Nilabh Kishore IPS, ADGP ANTF,
and under the guidance of Mrs. Ashwini Gotyal IPS, AIG ANTF Punjab.
The ground operation was executed under the direct control of Sh. Gurinderbir Singh PPS, SP ANTF
Ferozepur, along with Sh. Bhupinder Singh PPS, DSP ANTF Ferozepur.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh @ Seepa (s/o Shinder Singh), a resident of
Village Shanna Sher Singh Wala, PS Talwandi Choudhrian, Kapurthala.
Operational Details Acting on precise secret information & technical intelligence, ANTF teams were
tracking the movement of the accused, who was released from Kapurthala Jail earlier this month on
November 3, 2025. Intelligence suggested that the suspect had collected a heavy consignment of
contraband from the border village of Baggeke Utar, Jalalabad.
On November 21, 2025, based on this secret input, the ANTF team, led by SI Hardev Singh,
Investigation Officer (IO), intercepted the suspect driving a white Kia Seltos (PB09AQ3598) towards
Ferozepur. Upon being challenged, the suspect attempted to flee, leading to a hot pursuit. He was
eventually apprehended at Village Rauke (PS Mamdot) after a brief encounter.
Recovery & Criminal History: A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 50 Kg 14 Gm of Heroin.
The accused, Sandeep Singh @ Seepa, is a history-sheeter with 8 previous FIRs (05 FIRs related to
NDPS Act) registered against him, indicating his deep involvement in organized drug trafficking.

Legal Action:- A case has been registered vide FIR No. 302 dated 21-11-2025 u/s 21, 61, 85 of the
NDPS Act at Police Station ANTF, SAS Nagar.
Investigation:- Preliminary interrogation is underway. The ANTF is conducting further investigations
to unearth the entire network of forward and backward linkages, including the source of the
contraband and its intended recipients.
